ABOUT OUTRIGHT

This colorway was dyed using a submersion technique, combined with injecting specific areas of color. The end result is a variegated yarn that holds a lot of individual colors.

This colorway is based on two flags:

The Asexual flag
Asexual individuals—who lack sexual attraction to all genders—got their own flag in 2010, following a contest held by the Asexual Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) to create a flag for those who identify as asexual. Like the other LGBTQ flags, this one has a variety of colored stripes, each with its own meaning:
Black: Asexuality, Gray: Gray-asexuality and demisexuality, White: Non-asexual partners and allies, Purple: Community

The Aromantic flag:
The Aromantic Flag represents people who either do not experience romantic attraction or do so in a nontraditional way. The color green represents aromanticism, and it appears in two shades in the flag, along with white (platonic and aesthetic attraction), gray (gray-aromantic and demiromantic people), and black (the sexuality spectrum)

Our 2021 Pride colorways are based on some of the colorful flags that make up the LGBTQI+ rainbow.

The nylon in this base is biodegradable. It does not degrade until it reaches the garbage processing facility and special enzymes and micro-organisms are added to the waste. These break down the biodegradable nylon in the course of 3 years instead of the 40 years it takes most man-made fibers to be broken down.

BIOSOCK

This smooth 4-threaded fingering weight yarn base is a perfect mash up between the softness of merino wool and the longevity of nylon, with a biodegradable twist. It knits up perfectly for garments and other next-to-skin soft items. Socks, hats, sweaters, blankets... BIOSOCK can handle it all. BIOSOCK takes dye vividly, is soft, smooth and a delight to work with.

Fiber contents 75% extra fine superwash merino, 25% biodegradable nylon

QUANTITY DISCOUNTS

All purchases of 5 skeins or more are eligible for a 5% discount using discount code: SIZEUP

As a fat fabulous creature, I (Aiden) know how hard it can be to source enough yarn to make myself a sweater. What takes the 'average' person 4 - 5 skeins, takes me at least 6 and usually around 8 skeins. (I'm between a 134 cm / 54 inch torso circumference).
It makes knitting or crocheting garments with hand dyed yarn a pretty costly adventure, which is why I am now offering discounts for yarn quantities that are above average.

This discount applies to all of our hand dyed yarns (that are not on sale), and can be combined between bases and colorways. You could make that top that uses a bajillion colors, or just pick the skeins for a single color project.

I'm not plus size. Can I use these discount codes?
Yes!
We will not police purchases and I will not exclude people from this discount based on their size. Hell, I encourage everyone who wants to use these codes for their 5+ skein purchases to use it. The economy is tight enough as it is and society already does enough excluding, no need for me to tack on some more.
