Hiberknitting 3, a collection of cozy winter knitwear by Stephen West launched last week, and I immediately fell in love with the Aurora Cabin Shawl pattern.
The sneaky little yarn overs, hidden hints of color and the snuggly looking form of the shawl made me want to play around with some of the colorways we have in stock to create palettes.
Each set contains 5 skeins of 100 grams and have enough yardage to make the shawl, according to the information provided in the pattern.
Dusk is Eventide's little sibling. A lusciously soft yarn, made up of 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak and 10% Nylon. Dusk has a rich texture that softens up even more after blocking.
The yak fibers embellish Dusk with a beautiful heathered base color, similar to our Eventide yarn, and is less slippery while working with. Perfect for some of those amazing stranded color work projects you undoubtedly have on your to-do list.
Dyeing Dusk is a delight: It’s light enough to stay vibrant, all the while keeping its luxurious flavor of a heathered yarn base.
