This colorway is part of the September 2020 Clan of Igors installment.
It is based on the movie 'Anaconda'.
Okay, I cheated...
I based this colorway on the beautiful black and gold colors in Nicki Minaj's video for 'My Anaconda Don't'. You know I had to right? With a movie title like this, there really was no other option than put that song on repeat for 4 hours while I dyed and danced through the studio.
Strain Sock is a high twist 2-fold plied yarn with 80% merino and 20% nylon. It's soft enough for next to skin garments and sturdy enough to last as socks.
We love the look of this yarn, since it reminds us of helixes and the stitch patterns come out crisp and beautiful.
Fiber contents: 80% fine superwash merino | 20% Nylon
Weight per skein: 100 grams | 3,5 oz
Running Length: 365 meters | 399 yards
Yarn Type: Fingering weight / 4-ply (2-ply spun!)
This listing is for 1 skein of yarn. Photo of multiple skeins shows a comparison between yarn bases and/or skeins.Colors may slightly vary on every monitor due to settings. This means that the color may differ a little bit in real life from what you see on screen.
All purchases of 5 skeins or more are eligible for a 5% discount using discount code: SIZEUP
As a fat person, I (Aiden) know how hard it can be to source enough yarn to make myself a sweater. What takes the 'average' person 4 - 5 skeins, takes me at least 6 and usually around 8 skeins. (I'm between a 134 cm / 54 inch torso circumference).
It makes knitting or crocheting garments with hand dyed yarn a pretty costly adventure, which is why I am now offering discounts for yarn quantities that are above average.
This discount applies to all of our non sale and non dyed to order yarns, and can be combined between bases and colorways. You could make that top that uses a bajillion colors, or just pick the skeins for a single color project.
I'm not plus size. Can I use these discount codes?
I refuse to exclude people from this discount based on their size. So yes, if you want to use the discount as a straight sized person, go ahead.
