Undercover Otter works with independent yarn shops and other qualifying retailers looking for distinctive hand-dyed yarn made in small batches. Because the studio is solo-run, wholesale availability and lead times depend on current production capacity.
Undercover Otter is a one-person company. When contacting us, you will be dealing directly with Aiden.
They develop the colorways and produces the yarn, alongside all the other tasks that are involved in running a small creative business.

We have developed bespoke colorways for retailers around the globe and collaborated on numerous exclusive shades tailored to the specific aesthetic goals of top knitwear designers.

Before production begins, we always review and finalize the dye list together with our retailers to make sure the selection is exactly right.
Please note that colorways may vary slightly depending on the yarn base. Differences in fiber content and natural base color can influence how dyes develop.
For example, Eventide and Dusk have a natural grey base when undyed, which usually produces richer and deeper final colorways than white-based yarns.
